FEES

Fees for children not receiving funding, and for those receiving more than their free entitlement are £4.00 per hour. As part of this charge healthy snacks will be included in morning and afternoon sessions.  We do offer hot meals at preschool which must be ordered in advance at an extra charge per meal however, should your child not want a hot meal then a lunch box must be provided from home.  For more information regarding food at preschool please click here.

Bills are produced at the end of term for the following term, with a half term option for substantial amounts. We ask all parents to pay a term in advance.

Rushwick Pre-School is a Registered Charity and as such is non-profit making. It is our policy to keep fees as low as possible. However, overheads do have to be covered and fees must be paid by all children not receiving funding.

If you do have any difficulty paying your child’s fees, please feel free to discuss it with the Manager or Administrator in advance of your invoice due date.

Fees can be made by cheque payable to Rushwick Pre-School, childcare vouchers or via Direct Debit. Any cash payments must be in a sealed envelope with your child’s name, the amount and what it is for written on the front. Fees become due at the start of every term and continue to be payable if your child is absent. Please pay by the requested date to avoid late payment charges. In cases of prolonged absence, please notify the Manager or Administrator.

Late Payments / Late Pick Ups

Fees are due within 14 days of issue of fee note. For later payers with no pre-arranged agreement, an administration fee of £5 will be charged.

For parents collecting their children late, a fee will be incurred once they are over 15 minutes late. The fee will be charged at half hour increments or part thereafter at a rate of £6.00 per hour, this directly covers the extra staff hours needed.

Free Hours

Every child is entitled to 15 hours of free early education per week for 38 weeks of the year free of charge.  You are able to receive this from the beginning of the term following the child's third birthday.

For more information about free childcare, please go to Free childcare for 3 and 4 year olds.

In addition to the universal 15 hours of free childcare, if eligible you could receive an additional 15 hours per week for 38 weeks free of charge making it up to 30 free hours per week.

To be eligible for the additional hours:

  • You, and any partner, must each expect to earn (on average) at least £120 a week (equal to 16 hours at the National Minimum or Living Wage)
  • if you, or your partner, are on maternity, paternity or adoption leave, or you're unable to work because you are disabled or have caring responsibilities, you could still be eligible.

You can't get the additional hours free childcare if you, or your partner, expect to earn £100,000 or more.

For more information and to apply for the additional hours please go to Applying for additional 15 free hours.

Childcare Vouchers

Childcare vouchers are an employee benefit for all eligible working parents. They're a Government-approved, tax-efficient way of paying for childcare. If you join the scheme, you can exchange up to £243 a month (£55 a week) of your gross salary for childcare vouchers.

Childcare vouchers need to be set up with your employer.  Once activated, you can use your vouchers to pay for childcare.  Please advise us which childcare voucher scheme your employer uses so we can ensure we are registered with them.
